What's Noé up to right now?

I'm currently SICK with covid and also unemployed after 4 wonderful years of working at KO_OP! No idea where I could have gotten covid from, as both my girlfriend and I are very cautious to avoid getting it and mask everywhere, but here we are regardless.
The games industry's funding drought continues and unfortunately being a beloved worker-run co-op doesn't make you immune to No Money woes, and we made the difficult decision to layoff about half of the studio, including myself. It really sucks, but it's what we all voted would be the best option to give the studio a chance to survive and hopefully rehire everyone once more funding can be secured.
In the meantime, this means that I can finally get some real dedicated rest time. It's time for me to take care of myself (especially wrt recovering from the plague), my relationships, my apartment, and my baby cat. I'm at the end of 5 months of hell featuring apartment hunting/getting ghosted by landlords, family cancer diagnoses, packing and moving, my cat escaping through an incorrectly installed window screen for 37 days, shipping a video game, losing my job, and now getting covid much more severely than the first time. There's not much left that can go direly wrong at this point so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about the future!
Good things are on the horizon! Soon I'll be recovered and will head back home to see my baby cat, finish unpacking my apartment, hopefully start eating better, go on gay dates with my crush, and work on some personal projects I'm really excited about! My throat might be filled with needles and pain but my heart is full of love and hope :)
