Cat Counter...?

I have a cat counter! Every time I'm out on a walk or a skate or something and see a cat, I increment a cat counter on my phone. There were a couple places I used to keep my cat counter stats updated on the internet, but none exist anymore so this site will be the only place you can find it.

Each post will have a snapshot of my cat count at the time of publishing the post, and the site footer will have the current most up-to-date count.

There's some personal rules I have for when I increment the counter:

1. Cats seen through windows count, they don't have to be outside
2. Cats don't count if they're from where I was going to or leaving from and I already saw them while there
3. If I reach my destination and stay there for long enough that leaving feels like another distinct trip, then cats spotted on the first trip can be counted again
4. If there's plausible deniability that a cat I've seen is maaaybe a different cat than one I saw earlier, I count them
5. The point of this isn't to track any meaningful data other than some vague notion of little bits of happiness I get from cats when I'm out and about so all of this is fake and I do what I want :)
